Fierce frost. It's not yet December and they've just salted the road for the third time. The ice was an inch and a half thick on the water butt this afternoon and tonight we fired up the wood stove.

We seem to have switched weather patterns. Here it's been grey and rainy... but at least 5 most days.
I'm glad you have a stove to curl up around. How are the chickens taking it?
Very apprehensive. They stay inside their dark house and stare at the window unless I shovel a clearing and lure them out. There is now over a foot of snow on the hill.
