Working Girls II
We installed another gynocracy in the backyard this week - the egg production unit - and they established their pecking order straight away. Doris the Buff Orpington is bossy boots, then Gladys the Speckaldy and they both pick on Ethel the Maran. It's disturbing to watch. I'm going to have to sign Ethel up for some self assertiveness coaching before she starves to death. That, or I'm going to eat Doris.

Poor Doris. Let us know how the treatment (psychological or culinary) worked for her.
Poor Doris? You should see the tyrant. Don't worry, I'll give her fair warning. I'll start with flash cards of gravy boats and roast potatoes.
Fresh eggs! I'm coming over to your house for dinner (or maybe breakfast).
On another topic, if there was a garden blogger meeting in Oxford this year and/or next, would you be able to make it? Would you be interested? There are no plans yet, only vague thoughts...
Of course, you would get a rather fetching hat out of her as well as dinner.
from Iz who hasn't worked out how to sign off non anonymously...
if you use name/URL and just put in a name it works.
I hope Doris settles down because she's rather delightful to look at - at least from afar in a picture. Could she just have a time out?
She's been given a reprieve. I think now that she's established herself as boss, she's calmed down a bit.
Patrick - I'm interested, keep me posted on the details.
