This year hasn't been brilliant (as I've whined many times already). The squashes were smaller and fewer but I've herded them all into one corner for a group shot and they don't look so bad after all.

I'd like to grow winter squash next year, but I'll have to be limited in what I grow. Which of the varieties that you've planted has the best flavor? I like my winter squash to be on the sweet side, if that helps you answer the question.
Hmm. My personal favourites are Buttercup and any of the Hubbards (I've grown Blue, Green & Anna Schwarz). See the past 4 years pictured in the Nov. 2006 posts -
